This month, I really tried to commit to more of my self-care targets and I must admit, I haven’t been as disciplined as I’d hoped to manage but I did increase on my January activities.

Throughout February, I managed to visit the gym and the swimming pool at least once a week, I managed to read another book, Simon Sinek’s ‘Start with why’ and even made time for discussions with the book club. These were all things, that in January, I hadn’t prioritised time for, so these are little wins.

However, I would have been happier if I had managed to do a little more on this front but for a bout of illness, I might have made it. Nevertheless, it was an improvement on the prior month, and I can continue to extend my intentions in this are for the month of March.

Continuing to document my progress towards my December 2020 list of 30 goals, I have done well on the STEM engagement front again, clocking up 23 hours of engagement and activities across the month. This was predominantly of my involvement with STEM Ambassadors in Scotland week and the Stemazing Inspiration Academy.

I have extended my speaking and visibility skills and opportunities by being interviewed by two podcasts and have also recorded further episodes of The Everyday Determinator podcast which will be released in due course.

February has been a tough month overall, with some health issues creeping back in and while I had some great experiences, like going to my first event since lockdown; Diary of a CEO Live with Steven Bartlett and meeting the man himself, it has been a very tiring month.

However, on the positive, I am continuing to make progress towards my set out goals, even if a little slower, than I had hoped.

March is on its way in and the evenings are starting to stretch so I believe truly that this next month will inspire new energies within me, as the spring season usually does.

Stay Remarkable, Determinators!!
